Fallout 1 Keys Locations
This article is about the locations of all the keys in Fallout 1, and includes normal keys, keyrings, nuke keys and pass keys. There are low-tech keys for normal, mechanical locks, colored high-tech key cards for electronic locks, and a special key for the nuke under the Cathedral.
Keys in Fallout 1
Several of these keys can be found throughout the wasteland, and they were usually crafted to open a particular lock. Found in areas where previous owners once lived or worked.
Keyrings in Fallout 1
As one would expect, key rings hold multiple keys in Fallout 1. They stay in your inventory as a collection of keys and, when clicking on the icon, the player can see all keys in their possession. Locations: Killian Darkwater, the mayor of Junktown, has a set for purchase.
Nuke Keys in Fallout 1
This is a special key in Fallout 1. It will unlock the nuke's control console under the Cathedral. Obtained from the Lieutenant's locker on the 4th level of the Mariposa Military Base. Can be used to nuke the Master (starts the nuke's timer). Cannot be sold.
Pass Keys in Fallout 1
Electronic security keys are usually color coded: red, yellow or blue. Electronically locked doors are color coded, so that the player can figure out easily which pass key goes with which door. Locations: The Glow. A yellow pass key can be found on level 1 on Dennis Allen's corpse. Use it on the first elevator. A red pass key can be found on level 2 on a burnt corpse in the northeast corner. Finally, a blue pass key can be found on level 4, on the corpse of one Charles Ringhold. Use it on the third elevator to go to level 5. I don't remember anymore pass keys in Fallout 1, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong by sending me a quick email.
And that's pretty much all I know about Fallout 1 keys locations. Hope this was useful to you!
